How many computers does one licence cover?
One, unless you bought more — and it is not welded to that machine. Free the seat in Settings on the old PC and the licence moves to the new one. If you need more computers on the same licence, ask us and we will add them.
I am about to reinstall Windows. Will I lose it?
No. Release the PC in Settings before you wipe it, or just enter your code again afterwards. And a seat nobody has used for thirty days frees itself, so even forgetting works out.
Do I have to create an account to buy?
No. The purchase activates the PC you are sitting at without one. DriverMax offers to make you an account only when you use the code on a second machine — an account is what holds the licence and what lets it move.
What is the difference between the subscriptions and lifetime?
The 30-day, 1-year and 2-year plans cover a period and are billed for that period. Either lifetime licence is a single payment with no renewal, ever — against the monthly plan, which adds up to $59.40 a year, the lifetime one pays for itself in six months.
What does “unlimited PCs” actually mean?
The ordinary licence covers one computer at a time, and you move it by freeing the seat in Settings. The unlimited lifetime licence has no such limit: enter the same code on as many machines as you like and none of them takes a place from another.
Who takes the payment?
The checkout is handled by 2Checkout, our payment processor. Your card details go to them and never touch our servers. Your registration code is emailed as soon as the payment clears.
