Pantech Curitel is a South Korean company specializing in manufacturing mobile phones. It was established in 2000. Its market is mainly domestic, but Pantech Curitel also has interests in Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, China, India, Europe, Australia, Taiwan, USA, Mexico and Canada. It is currently the third largest mobile handset maker in South Korea, behind Samsung and LG Group. The company manufactures phones primarily for AT&T, Verizon and they also manufactured the Helio Ocean, which was publicly released on Friday, May 11, 2007 by Helio, but since May 25, 2010 has been discontinued after Sprint Nextel's acquisition of Virgin Mobile USA, who previously had acquired Helio. |
